Primary Colors – Brode Gallery
The opening exhibition for the Spring 2015 semester is Primary Colors:
Primary color, noun
1. Art. A color, as red, yellow, or blue, that in mixture yields other colors.
2. Optics. Any of a set of monochromatic colors, as red, green, and blue, that are added to match or specify the chromaticity of a stimulus or sample.
This can be either pure to the scheme or abstracted away from such, just so long as it is cohesive to the theme. You can use the three basic primaries, the six color primaries, or the CMYK primaries as example grounds for the basis of your creation. Again, don’t feel constraint to these grounds for the creation of the work.
All forms of media are accepted, not larger than 2 ft. wide by 3 ft. tall. Send .jpg images in sufficient resolution to email@example.com as well as your name, title of the work, size and media.
Submission deadline: January 26, 12:00 p.m.
For future consideration, the themes for the upcoming shows are Reflection, Flesh, Subconscious and Awake.
