Exhibitions/Lectures

MCA offers a full schedule of exhibitions throughout the year, featuring work from students, faculty, alumni and community members in a wide range of styles and media. Our galleries are open to the public, and admission is free. (Some special events may be invitation only or require purchased tickets. See the event calendar for details.) Click here for our current exhibition schedule.

Our Visiting Artist series brings special guests to MCA who provide insight to the life and career of a professional artist. Illustrators, sculptors, filmmakers, painters, installation artists and more have come to our campus from all over the world to share their experiences and their art with us. Whenever possible, our visitors spend time meeting with students and visiting classes to give feedback and answer questions. Our Visiting Artist presentations are always open to the public, and admission is free. Click here for our schedule of lectures and presentations, including our Visiting Artist series.

Events and details are added to the calendar as information becomes available. Unless otherwise stated, all exhibitions and lectures are free and open to the public. If you have questions about our events, email info@mca.edu.

Memphis College of Art’s Policy on Public Complaints:

Any member of the Memphis College of Art community who receives a complaint from a member of the general public about MCA, its faculty, staff, or students should advise that person to submit his or her complaint in writing to the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA). The VPFA will receive any written complaint from the general public and direct it to the appropriate resolution.  A record of the complaint and corresponding resolution will be kept in the office of the VPFA.

The use of these procedures does not preclude the general public from filing with federal, state, or local agencies having jurisdiction over the matter.

The VPFA can be reached during business hours at 901-272-5125 or at sherry@mca.edu.
