SATURDAY SCHOOL
Saturday School has been a beloved Memphis tradition for over 75 years. Many of our current students have parents or grandparents who attended the program as children.
Building a love of art for a lifetime begins here at MCA. We recognize that engagement with art nurtures creative thinking, provides an outlet for self-expression, strengthens self-confidence and helps develop an appreciation for the world outside ourselves.
Class sizes are small by design, allowing for individualized attention to each student’s unique skills and abilities. We offer qualified teaching artists, inspiring media and excellent facilities. As the only independent, fully accredited professional art and design institution in Memphis, we are uniquely qualified to guide your children, nurturing in them a love for the arts and an appreciation for lifelong learning.

Grades K – 12
Saturdays / 6 sessions / Sept. 28 – Nov. 9 / 9 am – 12 noon
Tuition: $195, includes supplies and equipment (except where noted)
Portfolio Development
Grades 11-12
Saturdays / 6 sessions / Sept. 28 – Nov. 9 / 1 – 5 p.m.
Tuition: $275, includes supplies and equipment
Students choose one class in the appropriate age/grade range.
Age 5-7 / Grades K-2
Age 8-10 / Grades 3-5
Age 11-13 / Grades 6-8
Age 14-16 / Grades 9-12
Age 16+ / Grades 11+
* Students age 16 and above may also choose to participate in our Adult Continuing Education classes.
All tuition and fees are due in full at the time of registration. Class space is limited; registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Late registration is subject to available space and a $25 late registration fee. Students may register by mail, fax, online or in person.
Registration opens Aug. 15.

A limited number of full and partial scholarships are awarded on a merit basis for our Saturday School and Portfolio Development classes. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee; all decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final. Scholarship awards must be accepted by recipient at least 10 business days prior to the first class session. Payment for any portion of tuition not covered by partial scholarships is due at the time the scholarship is accepted.
Fall 2013 scholarship application deadline is Thursday, Sept. 12 at 4 pm. Materials submitted after the deadline are not accepted.
