63rd Annual Holiday Bazaar Memphis College of Art Hosts 63rd Annual Holiday Bazaar

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis College of Art is excited to announce its 63rd Annual Holiday Bazaar, which will take place Friday, Nov. 16, 6–9 p.m. (with a special Preview Hour, 5–6 p.m.) and Saturday, Nov. 17, 10–5 p.m. in Rust Hall, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park. The event, sponsored by the Memphis Flyer, provides Memphians the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces from MCA artists.

The Holiday Bazaar is free and open to the public. Guests attending the special Preview Hour at 5 p.m. on Friday will be able to view the work before the sale begins, enjoy complimentary champagne and have exclusive access to Express Checkout. Tickets for the Preview Hour are $20 per person and include one beverage from the bar. Tickets can be purchased in advance at or at the door starting at 4 p.m. on Nov. 16.

The Holiday Bazaar is MCA’s most popular annual event. Students, faculty, staff and alumni submit thousands of artworks and crafts to be sold during the two-day, salon-style sale. Guests also will be able to purchase exclusive MCA merchandise and view True Story Pictures’ MCA documentary, “The Art Academy,” in Callicott Auditorium. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. A portion of all proceeds from Holiday Bazaar sales will go to MCA’s scholarship fund.

New this year, MCA held a contest for students to submit a piece that would represent the 63rd Annual Holiday Bazaar and its theme, “My Favorite Things.” The winning student, Evan Lebaroff, will now see his sculpture in all Holiday Bazaar advertising—and the piece will be on display the event.
