Event Description

For students hoping to attend a post‐secondary art school, this course provides an opportunity to develop and prepare a portfolio for college applications. Students are introduced to advanced concepts in drawing and have the opportunity to enhance their art portfolio by doing a series of drawings from direct observation. This class will focus on traditional drawing techniques as well as place emphasis on what makes up a successful portfolio for any prospective college art major. Portfolio Development students are strongly encouraged to attend National Portfolio Day on October 12 at Memphis College of Art.  Non-credit course for grades 11-12. Tuition includes all supplies and equipment needed for class.
