Using plywood and Masonite die forms students hammer copper sheets into mirror image pieces. These two parts are then soldered together generating a three-dimensional hollow form. Details can be worked into the surfaces with various chasing tools and punches. Finished pieces can be displayed inside or out and work very well as wind vanes or just nice interior sculptural forms.
