Alumni Travel Opportunity—Côte d’Azur
March 11–20, 2016
Every year since 1974 the College has offered a travel experience during Spring Break. In March of 2016 we will visit the Cote d’Azur, France’s Mediterranean coast. Because of climate and natural beauty the area has attracted artists and designers through the years as a stress-free place to live and work. For us this means an abundance of art is now in museums in towns up and down an 80-mile strip between St-Tropez and the Italian border.
We are always pleased when MCA alumni join us for the Spring adventure. The European destinations cost a bit more than cities in the Americas, but we have worked hard to make this trip affordable. When you read the trip flyer, you will see how much is included in the package. And the amount of art and design available to us along the Riviera is perfectly suited to a week’s time.
We hope you will consider coming with us to Nice and all the other sites mentioned below, including a night in New York as we return home. Your travel experience may inspire you to create something: you will have an opportunity to exhibit your work in a two-month exhibition at Playhouse on the Square.
After reading the enclosed information, you may want to look at the YouTube videos on the Riviera and its art listed below. We are ready to answer any questions you may have, so don’t hesitate to contact us: Adam Hawk at email@example.com or Jim Ramsey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
MCA alumni have built successful careers as art directors and designers, art therapists, gallery directors, department chairs, art professors and instructors and independent artists. Many of our alumni hold positions as principals, CEOs, directors and designers in foremost design and architectural firms, and MCA’s influence can be seen in major corporations and eminent art galleries throughout the world. MCA alumni also make great teachers. We have K–12 art teachers in countless different school systems across the country. Our graduates can also be found in higher education. MCA alumni are chairs, professors and instructors in the most distinguished art and design colleges from coast to coast. MCA alumni are successful, nationally and internationally recognized independent artists—award-winning premier artists and designers spanning over seven decades. The paths taken by our graduates are varied, but there is no doubt that MCA alumni are productive and successful citizens leaving their mark on the world’s landscape.
