MCA Redesigns the Traditional Job Fair: Join us for the 2019 Student Showcase on February 13

Join us for the MCA Student Showcase!

“Creatives: Employees of the Future,” will be held at Memphis College of Art on Wednesday, February 13 from 4:30-6:00pm. MCA will have refreshments to enjoy as attendees mix and mingle with this latest group of MCA talent.

Unlike traditional career fairs, this showcase puts the students’ work and talents on display and offers an exciting networking opportunity. Thirty-five students, from a variety of disciplines, will be showcasing their creative talent and have work on view. The event is open to any interested party, from local businesses and organizations to potential art buyers and alumni.

This is also a concrete step that the community can take to help MCA students. In the wake of news about the school closing, the community is asked to remember that MCA still has over 100 students who need networking, support, and encouragement. This is a great chance for community members to help support the college’s current students.

Dr. Carrie Brooks, Director of Career Development, explains why this event is so important: “We are opening our doors. This is an opportunity to see what goes on in this creative space in Overton Park. The variety of media and skills is something that really needs to be experienced first-hand. It will be a dynamic event where professionals can connect with students, and potentially with other professionals.”

Stop by and experience the wide-range of creative talent and work on view at MCA. Attendees will have the opportunity to see artwork, talk to students, and discuss opportunities. The Showcase is open to any individual or business interested in meeting our talented creatives of the future. See how our students can positively impact your organization, business, or community.

Registration is required, and can be completed at this link:
