Memphis College of Art Presents Best in Class 2015/2016

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis College of Art will present Best in Class 2015/2016, an exhibition of the most creative undergraduate artwork from the academic year. The exhibition will be on view May 16–July 8 in the Rust Hall Main Gallery, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park.

The artwork selected best exemplifies the skills and completion of goals for each class, as adjudicated by departmental faculty. The exhibition features work from 45 artists in Foundations, Illustration, Painting and Drawing, Printmaking, Sequential Narrative, Ceramics, Sculpture, Metals, Graphic Design and Digital Media.

Artists include Kelcie Ashmore, Elizabeth Bateman, Richard Blum, Jaron Bunk, Shoni Campbell, Jeremy Clark, Heather Coleman, Riley Curry, Elizabeth Davis, Callie Do, Shelley Doss, Leandria Edwards, Kaleob Elkins, Blayne Fox, Dezmond Gipson, David Hook, Hannah Johnson, James Taylor Johnson, Oziel Juarez, Krista Kennedy, Troy Koler, Baleigh Kuhar, Kelli Laderer, Laura Lester, Marcus Menefee, Wilson Minshall, Yvonne Muren, Jacqueline O’Neal, Elizabeth Ortego, Margaret Perez, Esme Perkins, Sydney Proctor, Mariel Ramsey, Celeste Rudd, Mia Saine, Samantha Seghers, Morgan Stephenson, Davis Tate, Andrew Taylor, Layna Tucker, Bianca Vaughn, Amanda Weidman, Jordan Whitten, Rashad Worthy and Ruby Zielinski.

Gallery hours for Best in Class are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sundays, noon–4 p.m. All MCA exhibitions are free and open to the public.
