MCA Art Education Program Receives ArtsMemphis Grant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Art Education Program at Memphis College of Art has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the ArtsMemphis 2014 Community Arts Engagement Fellowship program.

ArtsMemphis launched the Community Arts Engagement Program in 2012, with the generous support of the Assisi Foundation, to widen and deepen access to the arts, especially in communities whose residents have little or no access to them. Fellowship Grants within the program focus on developing grantees’ internal capacity and structures needed to support the Community Arts Engagement focus and build a culture of quality, access and collaboration.

Memphis College of Art provides a rigorous curriculum in an intimate, diverse community to empower generations of leading artists, designers and educators to flourish professionally and contribute valuable ideas to society. The region’s only independent art and design college, MCA is fully accredited with expert, nationally renowned faculty and grants BFA, MFA, MA in Art Education and MA in Teaching degrees with graduates excelling in various careers across the country and internationally. For more information, visit Follow us on Facebook at and on Twitter at @memphisart.
