Memphis College of Art Announces Best In Class 2013 / 2014 Exhibition

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The most innovative and creative undergraduate artwork of the past academic year will be featured in a summer exhibition at Memphis College of Art. Best in Class 2013/2014 will be on view from May 17 to July 11 in the Main Gallery, Rust Hall, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park.

MCA faculty selected works for inclusion from Foundations, Photo, Illustration, Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sequential Narrative, Ceramics, Sculpture, Metals, Graphic Design and Digital Media. In addition, Dean and VP for Academic Affairs Remy Miller and Coordinator of Exhibitions and Lectures Cat Pena will nominate a “Best in Show” winner, which carries a $250 award.

Artists include: LeKeishya Alexander, Lyman Anderson, Julie Bartlow, Colton Berretta, Robby Berretta, Nialah Brathwaite, George Brooks, Christian Brown, Glenn Buxton, Shoni Campbell, Kelly Cook, Elizabeth Davis, Cara DiStefano, Kandace Fuller, Vanessa Gonzalez, Ben Hancock, David Hook, Natalie Jackson, Mathew Kaminski, Machel Kazungu, Spencer Laws, Zachary Lyles, Emily Miller, Joni Miller, Laura Miller, Caenina Moore, Jefferson Muncy, Samantha Nemazie, Margaret Perez, Cecilia Reed, Ashlyn Richey, April Rodriguez, Philip Rule, Carolina Salcedo, Mary Shore, Barrett Smyth, Rachel Stovall, Joshua Strydom, Lindsey Sullinger, Alexander Swilley, Jade Thiraswas, Matthew Ton, Nicole Trimble, Jessica Vandenberg, Mary Weber, Amanda Weidman, Aminah Williams and Ruby Zielinski.

Gallery hours for Rust Hall are 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m.–4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and noon–4 p.m. on Sundays.
