Get Real. Get Hired. Student Design Exhibition at MCA

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis College of Art announces the opening of Get Real. Get Hired., an exhibition by the students of The Design Laboratory. The exhibition will open Feb. 27 and continue through March 10 in the Lower Gallery, Rust Hall, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park.

Functioning like a real design agency, The Design Laboratory at Memphis College of Art gives students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while still in school. Under the direction of Assistant Professor Hyuna Park, the lab members have worked with clients such as Strawberry Plains Audubon Society, SRVS and Loeb Properties. Works from past projects as well as works in progress from the current semester’s students will be on display, showcasing the development of the Design Lab from semester to semester.

Rust Hall’s Lower Gallery is open Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and Sunday noon – 4 p.m.  All MCA exhibitions are free and open to the public.
