On Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m., Robbins will give a Visiting Artist lecture in Callicott Auditorium, Rust Hall, where he will discuss his journey from being an art student at Memphis College of Art to becoming a star designer in New York City.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m., Robbins will host a chat and demonstration in Callicott Auditorium, Rust Hall. Immediately following this presentation will be a reception in the Main Gallery, where Robbins will be signing copies of his book, Matthew Robbins’ Inspired Weddings, for purchase, with some of the proceeds going to support the Memphis College of Art.

“We are delighted to have Matthew come to speak to our students, and there is no doubt that the Memphis community will be equally drawn to such a high-profile MCA alum,” said Memphis College of Art President Ron Jones. “Matthew has been incredibly successful in New York City, and he says he attributes some of his greatest and most formative moments to his time here at Memphis College of Art.
