Memphis College of Art presents several programs and opportunities for the general public to either view or actively participate in the art-making process.
At the galleries in our main campus in Overton Park (Rust Hall) and on the street, the college’s gallery in the South Main Arts district of downtown Memphis, the MCA mounts several exhibitions of contemporary art each year. The work of nationally and internationally known artists is displayed in both traveling and individually curated exhibits. The work of current students is also displayed in group exhibitions during the academic year, including the bi-annual BFA show.
The MCA Visiting Artists Lecture Series brings artists, scholars and critics to interact with the College and the larger Memphis community. All lectures are free of charge and open to the public.
