Class Changes – Drop / Add / Withdrawal
You may drop or add courses during the first week of the semester, and no notation will appear on your transcript. MCA permits withdrawal from a course through the eighth week of the semester, whereupon the Registrar will issue you the letter grade W. After the eighth week, the Registrar will record withdrawal as an F, except in unusual circumstances as determined by the Academic Dean.
Advising and Registration for the Fall 2015 semester
The Fall 2015 Schedule of Classes will be available by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27.
All students are encouraged to meet with their faculty advisor between March 2-20 (except Spring Break, March 9-13) during the advisor’s office hours as posted on the MCA website: http://mca.edu/academics/registrar/academic-advisors/.
An Advising Night (with dinner and registration) will be held in the Rust Hall Main Gallery on Thursday, March 19th, from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. where students can meet with their faculty advisor (if they have not done so already).
To register each student must complete the Course Registration Form with advisor’s approval and submit it to the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20th to the Registrar’s Office. All registrations received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20th are processed together. Registrations received after 5:00 p.m. are late and may result in a student being placed in alternative sections or classes.
After registrations are processed, Student Schedules will be available for pick up from the Registrar’s Office on and after Tuesday, April 7th.
Advising and Registration for the Summer 2015 terms
The Summer 2015 Schedule of Classes is available (see PDF posted below). With faculty advisor’s approval (and signature), students may submit a completed Course Registration Form to the Registrar’s Office (exception: Registration for Horn Island begins on February 20). Student Schedules are available after processing by the Registrar’s Office.
