Call for entries are now open for the 2019 Delta National Small Prints Exhibition. Open to all artists 18 and older. Submissions must be original works on paper, created within the last two years, including but not limited to, digital, intaglio, lithographic, photographic, relief, serigraphic and stencil processes. Monotypes are also eligible but reproductions of pre-existing works are not. Submission deadline is October 21. Click here for more information.

• Memphis in May Open Call for Artists: Memphis in May is breaking with tradition in 2019 and, for the first time in its history, honoring the City of Memphis as part of the city’s bicentennial celebration instead of saluting a foreign country. They always select a local artist to produce an original artwork that becomes the Fine Arts Poster honoring our saluted country, and this year they are breaking with another tradition related to that selection. Rather than relying on submissions from local gallery owners, museum curators, etc., they are holding an open-call for all local artists to submit their designs for consideration, and their panel of the aforementioned experts – along with the general public—will select the winning artwork. Submission deadline is December 1. Click here for more information.

• Local Shop looking for artisan products: Attenion local Memphis/Mid-South artists and makers of cool stuff, here is your chance to share your wares in a high-traffic, 901-centric retail shop, with a vision of supporting local artisans and promoting the vibrant city that we love. We are specifically seeking jewelers, potters, visual artists, and makers who can sustain a level of production that will meet upcoming holiday demand. We welcome variety; we aren’t asking for mass-produced items, just need to be able to keep the shelves stocked with unique treasures. For more information, or to submit images of your work, email broadstrokesmem@gmail.com.
