DIRECTOR OF STUDENT LIFE

Memphis College of Art seeks a student affairs professional to lead its programs.  Responsibilities include:  Student activities and events, personal counseling, and supervision of the student residences.  Qualified candidates should have:  three to five years’ student affairs experience, college degree and excellent communication skills. A model candidate possesses excellent writing and verbal communication skills, has a collaborative style and is a self-starter.

CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Memphis College of Art seeks experienced, professional campus safety officers.

Qualified candidates should have a proven background in security and be comfortable in a college environment. Law enforcement background is a plus. Must be detail oriented, knowledgeable in general first aid, have a TN state license, and valid driver’s license. Candidate must possess high ethical standards with an established reputation for being open, honest and fair; respects and encourages diversity, works well with others, and sets an example through actions and words.

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS NEEDED FOR ART EDUCATION PROGRAMS:

Requirements: Terminal degree (EdD, or PhD) in either education or art education with a strong background in K-12 art instruction to meet SACSCOC, NCATE and Tennessee State Board of Examiner’s requirements. Candidates must be effective in communication; have strong organizational and writing skills, be willing to work in the evening and possibly in the summer months; and be open to evaluation and critique.
