Michele Noiset received her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design after which she worked nationally as a freelance illustrator. Michele amassed hundreds of clients, became principle and owner of her own business and continued to work for several prominent national clients over many years. Her artwork can be seen in national advertising campaigns as well as in editorial and trade magazines, has been published in books, adapted to games and utilized on myriad other products. Included amongst the notable companies she worked with are McDonald’s, Nickelodeon, The New York Times, Ladybug Magazine, Staples, and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For over ten years, Michele was a well-regarded exhibitor at the Surtex and Licensing Trade shows at the Jacob Javitz Center in New York City, where her work was licensed on many product lines.

Michele earned her MFA in Illustration from the University of Massachusetts in 2011. While completing her MFA, she developed a conceptual body of work that she has continued to exhibit in group and solo gallery shows throughout Boston, Providence, New York City, Cape Cod, and Memphis. Having taught full time in the Illustration program at the University of Massachusetts until 2013, Michele was then selected to head the Illustration/Comics program at Memphis College of Art.

Michele has continued to teach summer workshops at the Rhode Island School of Design including classes in pastels, gouache, and colored pencil workshops as well as Drawing Children (for adults) using child models. Michele is host and coordinator for the Mid-South Branch of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the preeminent national organization in the children’s genre, where she organizes monthly meetings in Memphis.
