Heather F. Wetzel

Assistant Professor

A transdisciplinary artist working with an emphasis on photographic processes, book arts, hand papermaking, and installation, Heather F. Wetzel creates work grounded in contemplation of life in the 21st Century. While examining current social concerns, she employs a variety of materials and methods, seamlessly integrating current technology as concepts dictate. She is equally concerned with the object, alternative methods of display, and with how materials, technique, and craftsmanship support concept and content. Her interests in these processes and materials all contribute to her interest in art as object. Her work has been widely exhibited and can be found at the Anzenberger Gallery in Vienna, Austria, as well as in multiple collections.
