Memphis College of Art Announces 65th Annual Holiday Bazaar

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis College of Art announces the 65th Annual Holiday Bazaar, which will take place Friday, Nov. 21, 7–9 p.m. (with special Preview Hours, 5–7 p.m.) and Saturday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. in Rust Hall, 1930 Poplar Ave., Overton Park.

The highly anticipated event draws hundreds of people to the MCA campus each year, boasting a huge array of unique holiday gifts, artwork and crafts created by MCA students, faculty, staff and alumni. Proceeds from the sale benefit the MCA scholarship fund.

Again this year, the Bazaar will open with special Preview Hours on Friday from 5–7 p.m. Tickets for the Preview Hours are $20 and include complimentary champagne, an MCA tote bag and—for the first time ever—the opportunity to make purchases during the Preview. “The Preview has traditionally been a time to come in, meet your friends and get that first ‘sneak peek’ at all the artwork and merchandise,” said Laura Hine, MCA’s new vice president for college advancement. “It’s always been fun, but adding the ability this year to actually make purchases during the Preview Hours is going to add a new dynamic.” Preview tickets can be purchased in advance online at mca.edu/holidaybazaar2014/ or at the door beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 21. The Holiday Bazaar is free and open to the public. For additional information, visit www.mca.edu or call 901-272-5100.
